Edible Plants

While working on the artwork for the Royal Windsor Flower Show I became interested in the idea of edible flowers. The RWRHS wanted to feature this on the 2023 version of the design and so I included a tin can (they also wanted to show upcycled containers - gardening on a shoestring) filled with nasturtiums, borage and mint.

I then took this further and produced a series of graphic poster style prints featuring plants to grow and eat. Starting with the borage and mint from the RWRHS design and adding purple podded peas - just a great name to say out loud!

I am now working on a whole range of individual prints including; sunflowers (yes, you can eat them, my friend Rebecca makes pizza with sunflower petals in the crust), nasturtiums, violas, geraniums, primrose, daisy...
