Imagine you live in the sun-soaked countryside surrounded by vineyards in the South of France. Your kitchen is laden with the fruits of your labours in your 'potager' (kitchen garden), your shelves bear witness to your industrious pickling and jam making. Your own small vineyard yields plentiful grapes and you go foraging most weekends for wild mushrooms and asparagus. Idyllic? Well this is the life of my good friend Rebecca and this is a true vision of her kitchen shelves - hence the name 'Rebecca's Cupboard'.
Maybe we can't all live this life but we can have a tiny slice of it in our own kitchen in the form of this design which is from my original lino cut print from 2013 - available on a tea towel (organic cotton or linen) and an apron, a tote bag and also in a gift set.
Rebecca Holtom is an artist and lives in the South of France, she is also is an excellent cook. In addition to the idyll described above, her daughter keeps bees and makes her own honey and her son is a keen fisherman, often providing a fresh wild caught trout for the lunch table.
